Paul "PJ" Brownell
PJ has been in fitness his entire life. After joining the Army, PJ's passion for fitness really started to come to life when he realized how exercise could have effects on not only his physical self, but also his mental and emotional self. After the Army, PJ dove into coaching as a full-time profession. That search to professionalize coaching lead him to OPEX and eventually to Texas to open up OPEX Round Rock.
At a very young age, Logan was in the gym some way or another. His mother was a competitive powerlifter most of his childhood so it was the norm to spend several hours at a time lifting weights of some type. While not in the gym, Logan was playing basketball and football all throughout high school. Logan started competing in the sport of CrossFit in July of 2012 while attending Texas Tech University, where he studied Nutrition and Exercise Sports Science. After coaching CrossFit for several years he found OPEX and started his CCP in July 2016. Looking for an opportunity to use his newfound knowledge he joined the OPEX coaching staff in 2017.
